Waxing Care
To make sure your skin stays smooth and irritation-free, here are a few things to keep in mind before and after your waxing appointment:
Before Waxing
- Avoid exfoliating or scrubbing the area 24 hours before your appointment.
- Do not apply body oils, lotions, or fake tan beforehand.
- Refrain from sunbathing or using sunbeds for at least 48 hours prior.
- Ensure hair is at least 0.5 cm long for best results.
- If you’re worried about discomfort, you may take a mild pain reliever 30 minutes before your treatment (consult your doctor first).
- Let us know if you’re using any retinoids, AHAs, or prescription skincare — these can make the skin more sensitive.
After Waxing
- Avoid hot baths, showers, saunas, or steam rooms for 24–48 hours.
- Refrain from touching, scratching, or exfoliating the area immediately after waxing.
- Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid irritation.
- Avoid applying scented lotions, deodorants, or perfumes to waxed areas for the first day.
- Stay out of the sun and avoid fake tan for at least 48 hours.
- Moisturise daily starting 24h after waxing to keep the skin soft and prevent ingrown hairs.
- Gently exfoliate the area 2–3 times per week (starting 3 days after waxing) to reduce the risk of ingrowns.
- Avoid intense physical activity that causes sweating for 24h post-treatment.
